PORT of ORILLIA

For the Civic Holiday weekend we stayed three nights in the PORT of ORILLA. The Marina has 220 transient slips and was new in 2012.

Looper Tip: If you pay for two nights the third night is free.

The town of ORILLA has a nice Main Street with lots of shops and restaurants. We rode our bikes around town exploring and visited the Saturday Farmer's Market.

The best part of our stay in PORT ORILLA was meeting our dock mates :)
We all became fast "Boat Buddies". They taught us Eucker, a very popular Southern Ontario card game. We played cards and laughed late into the night! Thanks XO

Captain Gerg is happy to be at Port a few days :)

Our first taco in Canada... Muy Bueno!

Downtown Doors....

Some Doors...

More Doors...

And more Doors...

Enought Doors (Yes, there were many more around the town - really ?)

Our dock friends invited us to Chief Island for the afternoon on their boat ... Fun to observe!, There were 100's of boats raffled together with a live band and lots of craziness!!! Kind of like Newport Beach on 4th of July, but on the water....with Police and Fire Boats patrolling everywhere.  We headed back to the PORT of ORILLA just in time to miss a huge wind, thunder, lightning and rain storm.

Very fun card game ...
