Once we departed ORILLA our goal was to complete the Trent Severn Waterway. It took us two days with four Locks. All four Locks were very unique: One conventional Lock (but our locking partner was the Police boat), the Giant Lock, the Big Chute Marine Railway Lock and to finish,the Smallest Lock on the Waterway.
We spent the night at SWIFT RAPIDS, the Giant Lock. It was a very rural and beautiful location. We agreed it will be remembered as a favorite stop on the Trent Severn.Thistle was the only boat docked below the lock. (We did have some unusual late night fisherman, but no problems.)
Just after completing the last Lock on the Trent Severn Waterway there was some unexpected rainfall. We are unsure if it was tears of joy, because we finished, or tears of sadness, because we finished (Maybe a little bit of both?).
We entered the vast Georgian Bay, and docked on the town wall in MIDLAND.

Crossing Couchiching Lake, and through the narrow hand cut Trent Canal. We saw numerous beaver dams.

Cottage Country.
Thistle on the Blue Line at Lock 44, the Big Chute Marine Railway. This Lock is a thrilling boat lift Railway. It works on an incline to take boats in an individual Railway cradle over a land Chute of about 60 feet. It is the only Marine Railway of it's king in North America.

Squished into the Smallest and final Lock 45, Port Severn. Yeah, we completed the Trent Severn Waterway!!! Entering The Georgian Bay through narrow Potato Chanel.
