CANADA DAY

CANADA DAY ( French: Fete du Canada) July 1st is The National Day of Canada. It is a Federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1876 enactment of the British North America Act of 1867. This Act united three colonies into a single country called Canada, within the British Empire.

We had lots of fun celebrating 2015 Canada Day in Peterbouogh!

Looper Tip: Peterbourough Marina is a popular stop for Canada Day, make your reservations early!

Vexillogists ( Flag experts ) often cite the National a Flag of Canada as one of the worlds most beautiful based on simple design and limited use of colors.

A "Mountie" leading the parade! In Canada the VIP's ride in antique boats rather than cars :)

Watching the parade with canoes and dogs!

The Canada Day festival at the Marina park.

The Harbor Hosts had a Canada Day party for all of the "Loopers"....Including a homemade Jam gift :)

Hotel California Tribute Band Concert at the Marina, on Canada Day.

The free concert was attended by nearly 5,000.......

Happy Canada Day!

Fire works and a full moon to end Canada Day.
