FINA World Masters Championships

It's been an exciting week of water polo games in Montreal at the 2014 FINA World Masters Championships. Greg is playing on the Santa Barbara 55's (USA) and they went undefeated and were awarded the gold medal.

His team (players and head coach) is composed with college friends from UCSB and a few special additions :) There were 11 teams entered in this Divison for the FINA event with two brackets. Santa Barbara started play in the preliminary round last Sunday and had a game everyday (Brazil, Australia, Russia, Germany & Argentina). The semi final game (Italy) was on Friday and the championship game (Dutch) was played Saturday. 

After the championship game the players and their supporters celebrated at the pool, and then continued to celebrate on Thistle, with a firework show to end an epic day! 

Thanks for all of your good luck wishes....Congratulations to the Santa Barbara 55's!
